Printing and marking of injection molded and die cast parts

We encounter printed products and devices at every turn every day. Whether household appliances, remote controls, TV/audio equipment – we find printed surfaces almost everywhere. For our housings and injection-moulded parts, printing has also proven very successful. Preferably, they are usually company logos or characters that explain a particular function.
Modern printing methods for housings are pad printing, screen printing and digital printing. Nowadays, most plastics and metals can be printed and also have a long shelf life. It is more a matter of proper pretreatment and experience to ensure that the print delivers what it promises.

In addition to printing, housings can also be engraved or laser-marked.

Our labeling methods

Pad printing of housings

Pad printing is very suitable for plastic and metal surfaces, making it an excellent printing process for housings. The silicone pad is easily deformable and transfers the ink to the printing surface. Due to the deformability of the pad, even non-planar surfaces as well as recessed areas and paragraphs can be printed without any problems. The minimum line thickness is 0.3 mm.

Screen printing

This printing process has a strong opacity with rich colours. Screen printing is particularly suitable for large areas and filled motifs. Our membrane keypads are mainly printed by screen printing method.

Engraving – Abrasion resistant and particularly easy to read

An engraving is still readable even after years under harsh conditions. It is recommended to lay out the engraving with paint afterwards. This prevents corrosion of the metallic material and also provides excellent readability.
Laser marking is preferable for very fine fonts and logos. File formats in STEP and dxf can be used for engraving housings.

Laser marking is abrasion resistant and inexpensive

Laser marking is suitable for serial numbers or continuous inscriptions as well as for very fine fonts, characters, and logos. For laser marking of housings we can process the file format dxf.

Digital printing

If your motif or logo has a colour gradient, digital printing is the right process. Furthermore, very fine lines and motifs can be printed and a large number of colours are available. For housings, front panels, and injection-moulded parts, the ideal complement to the widely used pad and screen printing.
